Pit Bull Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

15085560-American Pit Bull terrier/Australian cattle dog mix -Red/white -Female-6 Years-Large Rosie is quite the charmer, and the performer to boot. She sits, lies down and shakes on command. She responds to an encouraging voice and is gentle around smaller dogs. Bigger dogs do not seem to faze her and she loves attention, whoever it comes from. She could use an obedience class for good measure but would be perfect for a family with or without older children.

Animal ID: 13491012Dolly (female)

Bloodhound    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bloodhound (purebred) - black and brown -female - 6 years - large Dolly is ALL hound, so she'd be best with someone who understands and appreciates the characteristics of the breed. She's happy-go-lucky with a big stubborn streak - very breed-typical! Her previous owner describes a fun family girl, and although they reported problems with other dogs, she appears to be fine with other dogs here at the shelter. Introduce carefully and supervise until you know what to expect. She'd be best with someone who is okay with having a great big dog in the house.

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

14568890 - Darius - Labrador Retriever Mx - Black - Male - 4 years - 69 pounds Talk about a handsome boy! Darius has a typical lab personality with a bit of a goofy side, but he's plenty smart, too. He is treat motivated and will readily sit or shake for a treat. He's got tons of potential and is capable of learning so much more. An obedience class would benefit everyone and would be a terrific way to bring out the best in him. Darious is very playful and loves toys and tennis balls, so be sure to stock up. He bonds easily and will be a fun companion for a lucky person or family. Typical of most labs, he is a social dog who will do best ... (Read More)with someone who will let him live inside with the family. Backyard life will not suit this friendly, people-oriented boy. He's got great potential as a family dog, although children should be sturdy so he doesn't knock them down (Less)
